lehitatef, 2019

silkscreen print on layers of sheer fabric, wool tassles (tzitzit) traditionally tied, 3 meters long

lehitatef, in Hebrew, means to wrap. it;s the word used in the prayer recited when putting on a tallit (Jewish prayer shawl). the imagery used as a print on the layers of fabric that make up this oversized tallit depicts family members and important objects and spaces from memory, all of which make me feel wrapped in comfort and connected to my identity
